The first stop of the island tour is at “Wat Plai Laem”. Inside this beautiful temple complex there are several things to discover. These are the temple itself, a statue of the Chinese goddess GUANYIN to the right-hand side and a statue of the grinning monk BUDAI on the left-hand side of the temple. Both the temple and the statues are embedded inside a fishpond and accessible via small footbridges.
This 12-meter-high Buddha statue is the symbol of the island and can usually be seen from the plane on the approach to Koh Samui. It is located on a small offshore island, which can also be reached by vehicle on a heaped driveway.
The pagoda-shaped temple is located on a small hill near Chaweng. From here you have a 360 ° panoramic view. On one side of the platform you have a perfect view all over Chaweng including the Chaweng Lake. On the other side you overlook the airport and the sea all the way to the neighboring island Koh Phangan.
This interesting viewpoint is located between Chaweng and Lamai. From here you have a perfect view all over the two beaches of Chaweng and Chaweng Noi.
Crystal Bay, also known as Silver Beach, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Samui. Here you have time to relax on the white sandy beach or refresh yourself in the crystal-clear waters of the sea.
At noon we will provide an authentic a’la Carte Thai meal in a local restaurant.
At Wat Sila Ngu we make a short stop to take pictures of the temple. The interesting thing about this temple is the design. All temple walls and the elements carved inside of them are made of terracotta. After visiting this temple our Koh Samui island tour continues.
This well-known mummy of the monk Luang Por Dang is located inside the temple “Wat Kunaram”. The monk died in 1973 and has not decayed ever since, although he has not been preserved in any way. He is in a remarkably preserved condition. Only the empty eye sockets are not nice to look at and were therefore covered with dark sunglasses.
The Na Muang Waterfall 1 falls from a height of 18.5 meters into a natural pool below. If you like to, you can enjoy a short swim inside this pool and refresh yourself before hitting back to your hotel.
The waterfall was our last stop of the Island tour. From here we will take you back to your hotel.
